Daring and being able to be yourself is something that should be celebrated. In Kosovo, however, this possibility is not self-evident. For example, the queer community experiences a lack of acceptance on a daily basis. Arijan Zymeraj (Heerlen, 1998) spent a year documenting this Kosovar queer community that advocates for love, respect, art, and culture. As we go into the night, the community shows her true face through fashion, make-up or any form of expression. She shows her true nature, temporarily free from any prejudice, which Arijan managed to capture intimately by immersing himself in this almost underground community. “Text by ‘PAND”
